COVID-19 Response

As always, the safety of our patients and staff is of the utmost importance to us here at Westphal Orthopedics. This has never been truer than now as we deal with the current pandemic. Rest assured our office is taking every precaution possible to limit the spread of COVID-19.

As we transition to our “new normal”, we want you to know our focus is still on you, the patient. While you may not see it behind the masks, you’ll still be greeted with a smile from everyone on our staff. We may ask you to stand a bit further away or wash your hands, but this is only so we can do our part to follow the recommendations set forth by the CDC. You may see us cleaning the waiting room with antimicrobial cleaners several times during your visit or wiping down surfaces after you’ve touched them. Trust us when we say that all these efforts are for your safety and ours.

Telemedicine visits are now available. You can now have a virtual visit with one of our surgeons from the safety and comfort of your own home. Due to the requirements of our specialty, though, not all patients will be able to utilize this service. If you’d like to find out if you’re a candidate for telemedicine, just give us a call!

We are working closely with our partners at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, as well as our surgery centers, to be very sure when we start performing elective surgeries again, we have done everything possible to make sure you are safe. The staff at Lancaster General are tirelessly working to layout guidelines specific to each patient and each procedure so that we can get back to restoring your function and eliminating your pain.
